WrestleMania 40 will not include Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns. Reigns will reportedly instead compete against his cousin Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson once “WWE SmackDown” concludes.
In advance of the announcement of Rhodes’ WrestleMania opponent, “The Tribal Chief” seized the podium on Friday night. In response to World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins’ recent entreaty to Rhodes, Reigns disregarded Rollins’ self-assigned moniker of “the guy” as well as Rollins’ grievances about Reigns’ schedule, among other things. Reigns concluded his answer by saying that, unlike Rollins, he wasn’t “going to beg” Rhodes for his time.
In the end, Reigns did not have to plead since Rhodes arrived soon after. Rhodes terminated Jimmy and Solo due of the high level of tension between the two. The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship was “the title that was placed into [his] father’s hands at Madison Square Nursery, and afterward quickly removed” according to Rhodes, who initially implied that Reigns was his pick for WrestleMania. Rollins asserted that the title was a Hollywood title. It was publicly discussed by Rhodes whether his tale would end when he overthrew “The Tribal Chief” or when he seized “everything” from Reigns. The odds were almost in place for a WrestleMania rematch between Rhodes and Reigns.

At WrestleMania, Rhodes declared that he would not overthrow Reigns. Rhodes asserted, however, that he had a conversation with someone Reigns knew well.
The wild card was The Rock
Predictably, Birmingham was all incited to smell what “The Rock ” was cooking, and the as of late named technical knockout chief came swaggering down the slope. Rhodes imparted a short second to “The Stone” as Johnson pulled him in to murmur something in his ear. Rhodes then, at that point, disappeared. “The Rock ” gazed intently at “The Clan leader”, who was clutching his title somewhat more firmly. “WWE SmackDown” then, at that point, went behind closed doors, with neither one of the mens having said a solitary word to one another.
Reigns’ intentions for WrestleMania 40 remain unconfirmed, although the prevailing opinion is that he will face “The Rock” rather than “The American Nightmare.” Throughout Reigns’ whole tenure for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, there has been talk of a family feud before WrestleMania 40. Johnson has previously stated his desire to meet his cousin at some time. It should be mentioned that The Rock never said outright that he wanted a championship opportunity. The scenario gets more complicated because of Rhodes’ cryptic statement that he may overthrow Reigns at a time other than WrestleMania.
WWE advertised a press conference for WrestleMania 40 scheduled for Thursday, February 8, during the last seconds of the broadcast.
The WWE Record’s Longest Title Reign
Most wrestlers want to make such an impression on the industry that people remember them long after they’re gone. This may be achieved, for example, by developing an iconic character, staging memorable games, or finding yourself at the center of a well-known or infamous plot. Along the road, they could even strive to win a title or two.
Champ titles are proof that you’ve made it, regardless of the promotion. You’re going to go down in history as the best player in your division and at the pinnacle of your profession. Naturally, here is when things get really difficult. Climbing to the summit of the mountain and passing the previous champion is one thing, but holding that position in the face of eager competitors is quite another. Over time, some have failed to maintain their position for very long, while others have made it appear simple to be in charge.
The WWE is delighted to have hosted several extended title reigns during its more than 50-year existence. The company’s kayfabe records show the following as some of the longest ever, along with the outstanding people that made them possible.
